While in San Diego we stayed at a new Hilton Homewood Suites located in what used to be the Naval Training Center. This entire area is a new development with many shopping and dining opportunities. The Homewood Suites (at Liberty Station) is situated on a harbor inlet. We stayed on the 3rd floor, which had large terrace overlooking the USS Recruit. The Recruit was a training vessel that instructed up to 50,000 naval recruits annual. It was the only Navy commissioned vessel that never reached the water.

The hotel had a billiards room and included complimentary weeknight dinner with beer/wine. The bedroom and living area each had their own LCD flat panel display. The kitchen had granite counter tops with stainless appliances. All in all definitely a great choice to use my Hilton points.
